In the throes of In App purchase debugging

The final pieces of development are falling into place. All of the user interface bugs have been addressed, the audio assets have all been refined, and the graphics are locked down. The only piece that remains is the ability to purchase using the APIs for In App purchasing. Naturally, the first build to have this feature is not without some minor problems.

At this point, we're troubleshooting to determine where the problem may lie. Is it an authentication issue in the "Sandbox" or is there an incomplete handoff that triggers the download? We hope to figure this out quickly.

If we're able to resolve the problems and make a couple of refinements to our side of the purchasing flow, we should be able to submit the app to Apple for review within the next 7 to 10 days after some thorough testing of the "Golden Master" candidate. We're still using that old school terminology around here harkening back to our time sending an image of the finished product on floppies, then CDs, and finally DVDs.

I can still recall when our first CD burner was 1x speed - so to produce 10 discs for a Beta literally took the entire work day to burn.
